T in the Park won Festival of the Year at last night’s Music Week Awards in London

Scotland's very own T in the Park Music Week in London last night awards party won in the year. Representatives from the festival I saw some fellow nominees in the likes of Glastonbury, Bestival, Camp Bestival, Rockness and Creamfields.

Music industry festival favorite British music industry worldwide reward experts voted for.

T In The Park partners Geoff Ellis, CEO of DF Concerts and George Kyle, head of sponsorship at Tennent's Lager, took to the stage to collect their award at the London's Roundhouse.

Ellis said: "It's great to be recognised by the music industry - it's a real testament to the hard work of a fantastic team and the passion of the T in the Park festival goers.

“We're now looking forward to this year's festival more than ever…roll on July."

Kyle added: "From 15,000 people at Strathclyde Park back in 1994 to 85,000 of the world’s most passionate and loyal music fans in 2011 - it is so humbling to receive this amazing award for T in the Park - a truly incredible and unique festival that has grown to become not only the best in the UK but also a market leading festival worldwide.”

T In The Park headline Arctic Monkeys, Coldplay and Foo Fighters, which held at Balado near Perth from July 8 to 10.

The Strokes, Beyoncé, Pulp and Tom Jones, plus up-and-coming prospects such as Tinie Tempah, Plan B and Jessie J are also joined to perform in this year.
